Product description
Chestnuts have to be scored before they go in the oven, and doing it with a kitchen knife is the fiddly, slightly alarming part of the recipe. This cutter grips the shell from the side instead of pressing down on it, so one squeeze opens the skin with your fingers well clear of the steel. It lives in the drawer next to the peeler and rinses clean under the tap.
- Steel grips the shell from the side, so there is no moment where a blade can slip
- Zigzag cross-shaped ABS handle with a non-slip hold, even with wet or greasy hands
- Stainless steel stays sharp through a whole chestnut season and will not rust from rinsing
- Light ABS body, so you can work through a full bag without a tired wrist
- One squeeze per chestnut, no levering or repositioning
- Smooth surface rinses clean under the tap
- Also works on walnuts, hazelnuts and pecans
Keep it in the drawer with the peeler and get the oven on.
