A stairway is often the worst-lit place in the house: no window, a ceiling too high for an ordinary fitting and a switch you only reach halfway up. This round wall light hangs at the height you actually need it and throws light onto the treads instead of the ceiling. The 150 cm cable runs visibly down the wall, which looks deliberate on a stair wall and saves chasing a channel into the plaster.
