A clear ribbed glass shade with a scalloped edge throws a warm, broken light that suits a kitchen island or a dining table. The lacquered brass fitting and twisted cord give it a classic feel, and because the shade is small it looks particularly good hung in a row of two or three. One on its own works just as well above a breakfast bar.
